They say time has a way of sneaking up on you. Well, I don’t know about the sneaking up part – I think time boldly shows its face and reminds me daily of its passage. It feels like only yesterday, but it’s actually been almost 14 years since I started teaching the Basic and Advanced Bystander Assistance Classes for Accident Scene Management. Over the years the program has grown and so have I. At the core of it all, though, is the love of all things motorcycling and the sincere desire to make a difference for and with those who share the passion.

The people in this small quiet New England town could not have imagined that anything like this could possibly happen.

Have you considered what a difference being fit could make in your riding? This month I would like to kick off a series of health and wellness tips. For January, let’s focus on 2 activities: Walking and pushups. No gym or fancy equipment required and just about everyone can manage these. I don’t want to hear “I can’t do a pushup”. Sure you can! Everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to fitness. Pushups work your entire upper body as well as your core, glutes, and even your legs! If you were to only do one exercise, this should be it. This simple exercise routine will translate to better endurance and control on the bike.
